Hi, I’m Jen! I’m honored to be a part of Inspiration Through Art. I have been blessed to work with children and their families for many years as a first grade teacher, and as a photographer, so I always have had a special connection with children.
My sweet daughter, Mia, was a NICU baby…diagnosed with Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (CDH) at birth…who had major surgery at only three days old. I will never forget the sadness, fear, and uncertainty of that time. Fortunately, she is a happy, healthy two year old now, but my heart aches for families of children suffering with illness, and I have always wanted to find a way to give back. Although I am a photographer, I have almost no photos of that difficult time in our life…mostly because I was too consumed to make it a priority…something I’ll always regret. However, it’s given me new perspective to recognize that capturing families just as they are RIGHT NOW is what counts. I am caring, patient, compassionate, sensitive to the needs of others, and genuinely believe that I could represent your organization well.

Hi there! My name is Jenny. I am a mother to two (young, wild, crazy, and most importantly, healthy) boys, ages 4 and 2, and the wife of a wonderful man who not only tolerates but supports all my time spent with other families (and parked in front of the computer!). I have been a serious amateur for the past 2 years, and I started a business in June of 2011. I love what I do – and as a mom, I know how precious these fleeting moments with my children are. Being able to capture those moments, as beautifully as I could, is what propelled me to finally commit myself to photography. I have always loved it and made a few attempts throughout my life to really learn it, but it was my children that truly inspired me. It is such an honor to be able to capture those moments for other families as well. I would love to be a part! of Inspiration Through Art so that I can capture the children of families who understand even more deeply than myself, how fleeting the precious time with our children can be.

My name is Sarah Cornish and I am not only a professional photographer based out of South Eastern, CT but I am a mother of four amazing children and the wife of my high school sweetheart. I am incredibly passionate about not only photographing families but giving the gift of time and memories. Something I believe in my heart is not only sacred and important but crucial to families that may not have time on their side. I recently worked with a sweet child fighting cancer and it sparked something in my heart I can not describe in words. I would be absolutely honored to work with your organization!

Hi there! My name is Ronda Wollard and I’m located in Deland, Florida where I reside with my husband and two daughters. Meeting Aria was an honor. I knew I was in the presence of someone very special. (Her big sister was pretty awesome too!) I felt like I wasn’t doing this session for them as much as they were doing it for me. They have a motto in the Croce family and I took it to heart: Their motto is Be Strong, Be Hopeful and Aria is just that. She is a beautiful little girl who just turned one. She laughs, she runs, she plays and she has to take more meds and breathing treatments in a single month than most of us have taken in our entire lives and yet she still is a happy little girl full of love and smiles – she just happens to have Cystic Fibrosis but she won’t let that get in her way. I spent weeks looking forward to this session which I could only describe as special. I had so many overwhelming feelings in me when I took this session on, I was excited, anxious, fearful, and oh so happy. I wanted to create the kind of photos that were filled with love. In the weeks leading up to the session I reached inside myself and my creativity to come up with an idea that I thought were feel inspiring. I shopped for a special outfit – the rose-colored pettiromper you see pictured, and special pretty props- the vintage baby dresses and gowns, the mason jars, the flowers, and the flower baskets. I love what I do and I am grateful for the opportunity to give back to families through Inspiration Through Art!

Hi everyone! Very nice to meet you~ My name is Jennifer and I have been a stay at home mom to three great kids for the past eighteen years. In September of this year our last little bird left the nest…off to Kindergarten. While I had envisioned myself clinging to the bumper of the bus as it chugged along to school, surprisingly…I breathed a tiny breath of relief. Don’t get me wrong, I kept the cartoons running in the other room for a day or two, just to keep me company. My face was still pressed against the window of the front door until the bus again arrived home safely carrying my beloved cargo. But during those few ‘in between hours’ I began to substitute loneliness with passion. Soon, I found myself thrilled with the opportunity to play. I had been taking pictures of my own kids for such a long time, and had just recently begun putting together a small photography business locally…so, this new freedom was just what I needed to launch me into the direction I was dreaming about. One of the things I love most about taking pictures is that I get to be part of capturing so much emotion. When I started working with other families…I felt honored at the opportunity to step into their worlds and be able to preserve some very special moments. I am a candid, natural light photographer specializing in LIFE! I truly believe that beauty can be found everywhere and in everyone. For me, the opportunity to capture this beauty paired with emotion is a blessing that simply cannot be expressed with words. About a year ago I had this overwhelming feeling that while I was doing what I loved, there was still something missing. I wanted to go deeper with my work. I needed to do more. I was lucky enough to have my story featured on CrescenDOH, which became one of the first steps towards my goal. When I came across the Inspiration Through Art program I instantly knew exactly where I wanted to be. When I was accepted into the program, I felt it in my heart. This was it. I can’t wait to start this adventure! I look forward to meeting each little hero and capturing all the unique qualities that come together to make each little miracle so special and so unique.

Hello there, my name is Amie; Photographer for life whether professional or personal… natural light and using the beautiful natural world around us as a backdrop. I am simply in love with photography…I am a person wanting to make a difference, whether it is through my own childrens eyes or some other child’s eyes… photography for me allows me to be me, creative, seeing a child and who they are… capturing that in an image… freezing that special moment.. documenting the details of their little world that is what is most important to me as a photographer but also important as a mama to two young boys myself. I have the pleasure to raise my two boys and be with them each day as they grow and learn about life. I have always been a giver of life… I would love to give photography as a gift to everyone I encounter… I have always wanted to make a difference in this world… it may not make national news but it might make a difference in someones’ heart… inspiration through art allows me to do just that.. give back with a simple click on the shutter button and freeze that little moment in time to have forever… I want to give that gift to a mom or dad.. that special look their child makes, or a smile, laugh or tears of joy.. the sweet innocence of a child is so powerful… so not only is this a gift to a special client but i believe that this is a gift to me as a person, giving back is powerful and that is what life is about.

Hi, I’m Tre’, and I’m the father of two wonderful kids, aged nine and two. I’m a part time photographer in the Houston area, married for thirteen years. Since my renewed passion for photography began with the birth of my daughter, it has been natural for me to gravitate towards photographing children – my own and others. I found Inspiration through Art looking for ways to apply the skills I’ve learned as a photographer to a worthy cause, and the group’s mission seemed like it was divinely presented to me. I am extremely touched by the opportunity to give something positive and meaningful to those who are coping with and overcoming hardship.

Hi! I’m Danie, mother to two young children, wife to a very supportive husband, and photographer. Since my goal with each session is to create a story with the photos, I’ll be looking for relationships and emotions, the elements I feel turn child and family photos into priceless memories. To add to the personal element, I shoot exclusively on-location. I love children, and my photography sessions are fun and laid-back — deceptively so, since my mind is racing, keeping track of light, settings, shots I’m looking for…. I have found such healing power through photos of my own children, and in gratitude, I wish to share that gift with the little heroes and their families here in Bethesda, MD and the Washington, DC metro area.

Hi! I’m Canon! I’ve had a camera in my hand since I saw one with my name on it. This aspect really touches my heart. I’m an older sister to 2 step sisters and 2 half brothers. Ive always been a “mama bird” in k-2nd grade my best friends name was Laura Pate. She was little and she talked like my granny. She was always so tired and it was dark under her eyes. Sometimes she brought her oxygen tank to school. We had one of those cool iron tubs in our classes with pillows in it and every day someone got to lay in it and just read all day. When laura would show up to school, we all knew she needed to lay in the tub. I remember the first time i saw her cry It wasnt like when any other kid cried, she was tough. Laura’s family didnt have hardly anything, and when Laura didn’t make it to Mr Morris’s class in 3rd, i think everyone! wished they could have done more. She was the first person that i knew that died. I’ll always remember Laura Pate and I’d love to help in honor of my littlest best friend!

Hi there! My name is Meredith Rowlen and I’m a driven inspired mother, photographer and believer in God & the miracles he can bless us with. Shortly after my son turned 5 we found out the lumps in his neck were Cancer. Not only have I lived and experienced the fear I have walked the halls with other families and held the hands of mothers and fathers losing their children. There is truly nothing I want more then to give back to others in their most trying time. My images I took of Wilson when he was bald & when he had a mohawk before all his hair fell out are some of my most valued possessions. I am excited to be part of Inspiration Through Art to help as a volunteer positions and most certainly as a photographer.

My name is Stephani. I am almost 24 years old. I am a married mother of two boys, ages 8 and 2. I became a mom really young. I grew up in a family with 13 brothers and sisters, in a VERY small town in Pennsylvania. I now live in the suburbs of Detroit,MI. I have been practicing photography for over 3 years. It has always been a passion of mine, but I recently got serious about my career. This organization in particular called out to me because I, myself was on life support and hospitalized for over 3 months due to Pnemonia when I was 12 years old. My parents were almost killed by a drunk driver when I was 14. I watched cancer take over my best friend when we were only 6 years old. Thankfully, she survived and has been cancer-free since. I wish projects like this had been around when my friend was battling her disease. So I would be so proud to be a part of this. Not just for myself, but for my friend and other families like hers.

Hi my name is Karen and I’m a mom to a wonderful 8 yr old boy with autism and a cute 2.5 yr old rambunctious toddler. I run a support group in Nashville for parents of kids with autism. My son was diagnosed at age 2. I turned pro a year ago and have photographed children with special needs in the past year: autism, spina bifida/hearing loss, developmental delay. I love the idea of giving a gift to other parents of special needs kids AND providing them with a level of comfort knowing their photographer has a child with special needs too!

Hi! I’m Kristin. I’m 25 years old and I have been married to my husband, Jon, for almost two years. This past March I welcomed my first child, Hunter. I am currently a stay-at-home mom, and working on my photography business. He and my husband are the loves of my life. I am an active member in my church’s children’s ministry. I love to volunteer with Special Olympics and St. Baldrick’s. Back in the summer of 2004, I had the opportunity of a lifetime to work with children with cognitive disabilities at a summer camp in Austin, Texas. That summer changed my life forever. For me to see these campers who, despite their illnesses and disabilities, had such a positive outlook on life and everything in general, was completely inspiring. They were all a total blessing and a gift from God. That summer left me so blessed. I ended up getting a full time job at the Facility that camp was held that houses over 150+ residents with cognitive disabilities. After leaving that facility, I continued my passion and worked in the Life skills classes at a middle school and then worked independently with a 14 year old boy with Cerebral Palsy. I knew that this was my passion. I love working, meeting and interacting with people with disabilities. They inspired me when I started my photography business to give free photo sessions to all families with children with cognitive disabilities, illnesses, etc. I love what I do!!

Hi I’m Amanda! Where do I start?… well I am a Mom to two beautiful boys under two, married to my high school sweetheart, and love every second of my amazing life! I started my photography business back in 2009 after the birth of my first son, and since then photography has become one of my main drives and passions in life. I love that I can capture all the special moments in our lives to look back on and treasure forever. I have had extensive experience in hospitals with my father who has had surgery after surgery for a congenital heart disease, and finally he received a heart transplant a few months ago. I know first hand how precious life is as we waited for years to see if Dad was ever going to recover, but I was sure to capture every moment possible with him in case that was all we would have left of him in the future. I wo! uld love the opportunity to give back to my community. We have a trauma 1 hospital here in town, and I know I watched many families roam those halls praying for a miracle. I just want to help anyone I can get through some of the most challenging and intense moments anyone could fear to face.

Hi I’m Sarah! My business is less than two years old. I primarily shoot babies, young children and families and have just started to do weddings. I consider myself to be a lifestyle photographer who does some loose and casual posing. Before I knew anything at all about photography, I loved to take pictures. However, when I became a mom, taking pictures took on a whole new meaning. As I watched my first son grow from newborn to baby to toddler in what seemed like just a blink, I felt an urgency to capture every minute so that I wouldn’t forget. I believe that pictures tell stories. They take us back to place in time that is over and often forgotten and for a few minutes, we are there again. Recently I volunteered to photograph a tea party for little girls who are patients at Dana Farber Cancer Institute. As I drove home from the party I experienced a lot of emotions as well as a real desire to do more. I would be honored to be a part of your program and look forward to the opportunity to provide families with pictures that will hopefully bring them comfort and make them smile for many years to come.

Hi I’m Renee! I have 4 boys with whom I photograph all of the time, as well as for family. Reading through the Inspiration For Art website, I was quickly drawn in to all of the beautiful faces of the little Heroes. It would be an honour to be able to capture the happiness and hearts of these children. We have a little hero of our own, and everyday I feel more and more blessed that he is with us. My youngest twin Alek was born premature and deaf at 30 weeks and has had many ‘adventures’ in his 8 years. (Including getting struck by a semi and living.) With so many out there that has helped our little Superman through his ordeals, I would love to give back.
